O&M

CTV (Crew Transfer Vessel)
Two CTVs, “PORTCAT Hibiki” and “JCAT Hibiki II,” are operated to safely and efficiently transport personnel responsible for the operation and maintenance of the offshore wind farm to the offshore wind turbines.
Operation speed: Approx. 26 knots (48 km/h)

Operations and Maintenance Supporting the Reliable Operation of the Offshore Wind Farm
O&M is essential to the reliable operation of an offshore wind farm.
Technical staff travel by CTV to the offshore wind turbines to carry out O&M activities. When transferring to a turbine, the vessel uses its propulsion system to press its bow against the turbine structure, stabilizing the vessel and allowing personnel to safely transfer to the turbine.
In addition to inspecting the jacket, tower, and blades, technical staff check the condition of key equipment inside the nacelle, the heart of the turbine.
Through daily maintenance and inspections, they help ensure the reliable operation of the offshore wind farm.
